Oriental Wrestling Entertainment UK sent out the following:

FITE TV, the largest digital combat sports platform, are pleased to announce that Oriental Wrestling Entertainment’s (OWE) highly-anticipated OWE United Kingdom weekly TV show will be available globally this October on the channel. This follows OWE’s recent announcement to air OWE’s Japan Premier Show on the channel with more events being added moving forward.

OWE fans from all corners of the globe will be able to watch the OWE United Kingdom and watch it via FITE.TV. All of the action begins at 9:00 PM London Time on Tuesday 1st October. Viewers can check their local listings and pricing on the FITE app or on FITE.tv.

Michael Nee, VP of OWE said: “As the OWE brand continues to expand into new markets, our main aim is to reach wrestling fans outside of China, and so adding FITE allows us to do this by serving them reliably on a wide variety of platforms.” Michael continued in a prepared statement: “The natural choice for OWE was FITE.TV. Our mission at OWE is showcase our unique styles and mix them up against the best in the world, and to do so, we need to reach the world. With FITE.TV, we will.”

OWE United Kingdom, will be holding TV tapings at The Dome, on September 18th & 19th followed by three consecutive nights in Liverpool, on 20th, 21st and 22nd. The card includes a headline clash between Cima and one of the UK’s best heavyweights; The Flying Prince taking on the best cruiserweights.

A 16-team OWE Tag Team Championship Tournament will be front and centre of the shows with the following teams already announced; Super Sharp Bros, TJ Kung Fu, Gym Nasty Boys, Anti Fun Police, Arrows of Hungary, Achilles Ben & Flying Prince, Cima & Lindaman, Kings of Catch, Kings of the North, Grup Anasi, International Superstars, T-Hawk & Irie, The Purge, UK Hooligans and AEW’s Mystery Team. First round matches will take place in London on the 18th & 19th September. On September 20th you will see the semi final matches with the final taking place on September 21st in Liverpool. With AEW’s addition, this leaves just one spot remaining.

With AEW confirming their intention to enter the tournament, this opens up the possibilities and adds a cloud of uncertainty over the tournament. How do you prepare for opponents you have no clue of their identity? Will this mystery team be the same ones supporting Chris Jericho? Will it be an existing AEW team or will a team emerge from AEW’s All-Out event at the end of August?

Also on the first night, September 18th in The Dome, London, Session Moth Martina, Amazon Ayesha, Dream Girl Elie, Lizzy Styles and Lana Austin will be competing in a gauntlet match to crown the first OWE Women’s Champion. The championship will then be defended every night of the tour.

The final championship on the line will be the OWE United Kingdom Championship which will be decided one September 22nd in Liverpool, the final day of the September Tour in what is promised to be an event that will be talked about for a very long time.
