The 2022 AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view scheduled for May 29th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada has officially set the record for the largest North American non-WWE gate in history, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that as of the time that the report was published, AEW Double or Nothing had sold 12,939 tickets and made a total gate of $1.145 million so far, with only 585 tickets remaining to be sold, despite the fact that the pay-per-view event was over two months away.

The report adds that the previous record holder for the largest North American non-WWE gate in history was the New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor Wrestling joint show at Madison Square Garden in April 2019 which reportedly brought in a gate of $1.1 million.
