EVOLVE Wrestling’s Vice President of Talent Relations, Creative and Marketing, Gabe Sapolsky, informed the EVOLVE roster in a private Facebook group today that he would be eliminating the group, due to the fact that there are no plans for the promotion to run any events moving forward as a result of COVID-19, according to a report from PWTorch, who note that WWN will continue to operate while EVOLVE are on hiatus.

The report notes that Sapolsky told the roster that this is just a fork in the road for EVOLVE Wrestling and encouraged the talent to stay in touch.

There have been reports in the past about the WWE buying out EVOLVE Wrestling, including its tape library, as well as EVOLVE’s parent company WWN ceasing operations in recent weeks, however the report states that the unconfirmed reports are not true.

WWE and EVOLVE Wrestling have had a working relationship for several years, with NXT wrestlers appearing on several EVOLVE Wrestling events to gain experience and EVOLVE’s 10th Anniversary event featured as a special on the WWE Network.
