Former WWE superstar Kairi Sane, who is still under WWE contract, working as a promotional ambassador in Japan, was unable to get permission from the company to work the STARDOM All-Star Dream Cinderella (10th Anniversary Show) on March 3rd at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.
The report notes that STARDOM wanted Sane for a big singles match on the card and also offered to have Sane compete in a Battle Royal match with other legends, but did not receive permission from the WWE to use her as part of the show.
Sane last wrestled for the STARDOM promotion in June 2017, prior to joining the WWE, where she teamed with Hiromi Mimura and Konami to defend the Artist Of STARDOM Championships against Queen’s Quest (HZK, AZM and current WWE NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai), in a match that they lost. The same show closed out with Sane’s final match, where she competed in a Gauntlet Match against AZM, Hanan, Hiromi Mimura, HZK, Io Shirai, Jungle Kyona, Konami, Mayu Iwatani, Natsuko Tora and Ruaka.
