Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi, who has not wrestled since injuring his shoulder during the G1 CLIMAX final in October 2021 against Kazuchika Okada following an attempt at a Phoenix Splash, has recently been engaging in light training, with his shoulder holding up well, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Additionally, the report notes that Ibushi’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is set to expire at the end of January 2023, and that Ibushi made a cryptic reference to his contract in a recent Twitter post.
