Parker Boudreaux, who recently made wrestling headlines after receiving a nod from Paul Heyman amid comparisons to a young Brock Lesnar, has signed a developmental deal with the WWE, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that the 6-foot-4, 301lbs Boudreaux, was not included in the University of Central Florida’s football team roster for next season, after he informed them that he would be pursuing a career in pro wrestling, with the school confirming that Boudreaux had left the team.

Boudreaux was backstage at the WWE NXT episode on January 20th, however it is unknown as to when he will make his WWE debut.

WWE are yet to confirm the news, but the belief is that he will be part of the next WWE Performance Center class to be announced soon.
