Spanish-language announcer Jerry Soto was one of the names let go from his role with the WWE on Friday as part of the latest round of cuts, according to news first reported by SuperLuchas.

Soto, who had been furloughed by the company since April of this year as part of cutbacks related to COVID-19, had been with the company since October 2011.

Longtime WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel was also one of the names let go by the company over the weekend.
