WWE 24/7 Champion and former New England Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski’s return to the NFL has been confirmed as the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed a trade involving Gronkowski, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Gronkowski, who was also the host of WWE’s two-night WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view earlier this month, retired back in 2019 and had one year and $10 million left on his contract with the Patriots.

The deal, pending a physical, will see the Patriots receive a fourth-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers receive Gronkowski and a seventh-round draft pick and will see Gronkowski reunited for former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady at Tampa Bay.
