In an update on WWE’s pay-per-view schedule for the remainder of the year, the company have shelved plans for the WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view on December 12th, meaning that the WWE Crown Jewel event on October 21st and the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 21st are the company’s final two big events of the year and would make this the first year without a WWE TLC pay-per-view since 2009.

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the reasoning for the schedule change appears to be the proximity of the WWE TLC pay-per-view event to the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st, 2022 and that the plan to nix December’s pay-per-view event was made well over a month ago.
