While the WWE Money in the Bank ladder match is traditionally seen as an opportunity for an up and coming WWE superstar to get his title opportunity, it appears that there may be a change of plans this year at WWE WrestleMania 28, should the match be re-added to what is originally classified as it’s pay-per-view home.

According to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several members of WWE’s creative staff have pitched the idea where all participants in the Money in the Bank ladder match are former WWE Champions or WWE World Heavyweight Champions.

If the idea is passed for WrestleMania 28, it could see the likes of Jack Swagger, Alberto del Rio, Kane, Mark Henry, Christian and Randy Orton amongst others challenge for the coveted briefcase.
