WWE are planning to hold two Premium Live Events, WWE Backlash and WWE King & Queen of the Ring this May, according to news first reported by Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics.

The report notes that while locations have not been revealed as of writing, the company are planning to drop the WrestleMania Backlash name that has been attached to the Backlash event for several years and return to the name of old, holding the WWE Backlash Premium Live Event on Saturday, May 6th, while on Saturday, May 27th, the company will present the WWE King & Queen Of The Ring Premium Live Event.

The May 27th event would take place during Memorial Day Weekend, a time of the year in recent times where All Elite Wrestling have traditionally held their AEW Double of Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas, Nevada.
