WWE officials wanted Hulk Hogan to appear at last week’s WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view, but could not agree on financial terms for an appearance from Hogan, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that it is unknown as to why Hogan was scheduled to appear, however speculation is that it may have been for an appearance during the Firefly Funhouse Match alongside John Cena.

Hogan was scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time in his career during WrestleMania 36 weekend alongside nWo members Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, however those plans were cancelled due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, with no official word from the WWE as to when the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place.
