Oliver Luck, who was the Commissioner and CEO of the revived XFL, has filed a lawsuit against WWE and XFL owner Vince McMahon claiming that he was wrongfuly terminated from his position after the league folded as a result of issues related to COVID-19, according to a report from TMZ.

The report notes that in his lawsuit, Luck says that he received a termination letter spelling out the case against him back on April 9th and says that the allegations are pure b******* and denies any wrongdoing, noting that he fulfilled his end of the bargain, which included the running of the league since its resurrection in January 2018, only to be wrongfully terminated from his position.

The report adds that Luck redacted details in his lawsuit, most likely due to a confidentiality agreement that he signed with the XFL, but that he is suing Vince McMahon personally, seeking to hold Vince responsible for paying out a guaranteed portion of his contract.

McMahon’s camp have yet to comment on the matter.
