Ben Masters welcomed the newest member to the RPW announce team, Dan Masters.

In the opening bout C.B. Gibson defeated Leon McMichaels by pinfall with a roll up (8:09) This was a pretty solid opener, with lots of good back and forth. Leon was over with the crowd.

Ben Masters had an in-ring interview with Doc Gayton. The Doc called out J-Rod. After exchanging words J-Rod punched the Doc leading Murder One to hit the ring and hold J-Rod back. Doc then announced a very special tag team match for Sizzlin’ Summer Bash.

Doc is returning to the ring in a Double Jeopardy tag match with A.J. Steele against Murder One & J-Rod. Here are the stipulations. If Doc and A.J. loses, whichever man gets pinned will leave R.P.W. forever. If that happens, then J-Rod will be released from his contract. However, if Doc & A.J. win then J-Rod has to stay in R.P.W. and A.J. will get a match of his choice against Murder One at a later date.

In a grudge match, Murder One beat “Officer” Chris Jacobs by pinfall after a piledriver (7:37). In the Post-match J-Rod hit the ring with a water bottle and Murder One took control of “Officer” Jacobs’ Taser. J-Rod poured the water on Jacobs, but before the Taser could be used Doc and Micah Taylor hit the ring to run them off.

“The Gospel according to Rob Adonis” segment was up next. He had Mgr Charlie Cash & one half of the R.P.W. tag team champions, Bobby Moore. The NWA RPW Champion Kyle Matthews came out and signed an open contract that Charlie Cash brought to the ring and Matthews will defend his title and belt against a “Mystery Opponent” of Charlie Cash’s choosing.

In singles competition, one half of The BFFS, “Adorable” Anthony Andrews w/ “Marvelous” Michael Stevens pinned newcomer Steven Stiles by pinfall (6:58). Stiles looked very impressive in his first RPW outing. During the Post-match, a “mystery” man bodyguard type came down to the ring and handed a wrapped gift to the B.F.F’s. They opened the gift to reveal a bottle of perfume but were clueless as to what it meant.

In an NWA RPW Television Championship Match, the champion Mike Posey lost the match via count out to The Judge / Mgr Charlie Cash, (Posey retains due to count-out.) (5:27) In the Post-match BENT chased a freaked out Posey out of the building

In taping #2, Drew Adler was victorious over Tommy Daniels by pinfall after a Drew Drop (4:30).

A #1 contender’s match was announced for Sizzlin Summer Bash between Micah Taylor & the returning Johnny Swinger. Micah reminded the fans that he has held that gold before, and would love nothing more than getting that title back around his waist.

There was an In-ring segment with Ben Masters, J-Rod, & Murder One talking about the Double Jeopardy match. J-Rod is seemingly spinning out of control and has aligned himself with the malicious Murder One.

The NWA RPW Tag Team #1 contender’s bout became a Handicap match when Chip Day was attacked by Bobby Moore with his championship belt while entering the ring. Hot Like Lava (Cru Jones & Shaun Banks) beat Corey Hollis via pinfall (12:57) but Hollis received a crowd ovation for a fine showing of outstanding wrestling ability.

In the NWA RPW Heavyweight Championship Match, the champion Kyle Matthews bested “Hit for Hire” Bobby Moore w/ Charlie Cash by submission using the Hodaka Lock to retain the title (12:49).

In a non-televised dark match, Micah Taylor stopped Jrod by pin fall with a rollup. This was an impromptu match set up by Doc Gayton who ordered Jrod to wrestle in street clothes since he has refused to wrestle for the last few weeks.

Don’t miss the excitement of the Sizzlin’ Summer Bash on Sunday, August 26 at 3 pm at Johnny G’s Fun Center. The three main events will be filmed for DVD ONLY and will not be seen on RPW television.
