In an update on CM Punk’s current status with the WWE, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there is strong talk that CM Punk will possibly return to the WWE on tomorrow’s edition of WWE RAW in Chicago, Illinois. Meltzer went on to state that despite the news, he himself is not 100% positive that Punk will be at the show, however all sources he’s spoken to are stating that it’s 100% certain.

For those wondering what happens to the WrestleMania 30 card if CM Punk returns, there has been talk that Punk will face Triple H at the event, meaning that Daniel Bryan would be entered into the WWE Championship picture, however another idea pitched was for Bryan vs. Triple H to happen and for Punk to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in April.

Punk hasn’t been featured on any WWE event since the January 26th WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view after telling Vince McMahon prior to WWE RAW the following night that he was “going home”. It will be interesting to see if the self-proclaimed “Best in the World” returns in his hometown tomorrow night.
