All Elite Wrestling star Rey Fenix revealed in a post on his official Instagram account that he would be relinquishing the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship and AAA Latin America Championship due to his international commitments.

Fenix defeated El Hijo del Vikingo, Laredo Kid, Taurus and Bandido in a Fatal Five Way Match as part of the TripleMania 30: Tijuana event back in June 2022 to win both titles, however he never defended those titles, with his last appearance for AAA coming at the TripleMania 30: Mexico City event in October 2022 when he lost to El Hijo del Vikingo.
