Former WWE 24/7 Champion and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Rob Gronkowski has exercised a release clause in his contract with the company that frees him of any future obligations with the WWE, however, there is a non-compete involved in that clause, which prevents him from working for any other wrestling company during a period of time not determined, according to a report from WrestlingINC.

The report notes that Gronkowski could make additional appearances for the company down the line, but that until his NFL career fully comes to an end, he will not be wrestling for the WWE.
