WWE superstars Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch were guests on ESPN SportsCenter this morning to promote the news that they will be in the main event of this year’s WrestleMania pay-per-view.

Becky Lynch noted that she has been working towards it obsessively since she was 15 years old, noting that she left home, traveled to Canada and around Japan and Europe, before noting that there was a period where she left the business because she didn’t think a career was possible, but that there was always part of her that felt like she had more to do and said that she wanted to accomplish this dream. Becky said that even when she signed with WWE, she said to one of her good friends that she would main event WrestleMania and he responded that it’s good to dream, but be realistic.

Charlotte Flair said that so many people have said that it is a huge dream and that main eventing WrestleMania is the pinnacle of the women’s evolution, as even two years ago, people would have said that’s impossible. Charlotte said that the women from the past helped get the future to where they are now and what they have created in the last few months, as well as the momentum, the women are now walking into MetLife Stadium with a capacity of 80,000 people and main eventing WrestleMania.

Ronda Rousey noted that on one hand, she was expecting it, while on another, she was really happy that it was finally certain and that it seemed like an abstract goal somewhere far in the future. Rousey noted that she came into WWE a year ago and her goal from the very beginning was being part of the first-ever women’s main event for WrestleMania. Rousey said that it is incredible the amount of momentum they’ve generated in just a year and that if you look at last year’s WrestleMania compared to now, what’s happening in WWE is a parallel for everything that is happening culturally around the world.
