WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe released a video this evening announcing that effective immediately, he is relinquishing the title due to medical reasons.

WWE NXT had previously announced that Pete Dunne, LA Knight, Kyle O’Reilly and Tommaso Ciampa would compete in a Fatal Four Way Match to become the #1 Contender for the WWE NXT Championship on this Tuesday’s episode, however with Samoa Joe now out, it is unknown as to whether that match will be for the title, or whether WWE NXT will shift around the card for this Tuesday’s episode.
