Speaking through his official Facebook account, Dragon Gate USA/EVOLVE Wrestling’s Gabe Sapolsky, who worked alongside Tony Mamaluke in ECW, commented on Mamaluke’s decision to retire from professional wrestling.

“I just read that Tony Mamaluke retired. Just want to say that he’s always been a quality person and complete professional in my dealings with him, both as the program guy in ECW and as the booker of Ring Of Honor. He also had one of the most memorable debuts in ECW history. I’ll never forget that bump. His team with Little Guido was very underrated and the tags vs. Mikey Whipreck & Tajiri are some of the best in ECW history. I think Tony definitely got some bad breaks along the way and deserved better than he got. I’m a little hypocritical for saying that since I could have booked him more, but for various reasons the stars were never aligned for it to happen. At the end of the day, I will say it was always a pleasure to be around Tony and I hope he has a lot of success in the next chapter of his life.”
