In a column for the Player’s Tribune, former WWE superstar Saraya (fka Paige) commented on her departure from the company, thanking the WWE for allowing her to live out her dreams over the years.

Saraya, who noted that she is still blown away and humbled that she was able to be a WWE superstar, stated that it was hard to say goodbye, thanking those that she worked with over the years, including AJ Lee, The Bella Twins, Natalya, Tenille Dashwood and others, noting that her time in the company began in an era that was not far removed from when the WWE’s Women’s Division consisted of Bra and Panties matches, as well as similarly-themed storylines.

Saraya also put over names who worked in executive roles including Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, Stephanie McMahon, Dusty Rhodes, Tom Prichard, Norman Smiley, Joey Mercury and Steve Keirn. noting that nothing was handed to those that joined the company at the same time that she did, but that it felt like anything was possible, including dressing more alternative than usual and that the talent was very fortunate to be given those opportunities.

Paige put over Stephanie McMahon and a conversation that she had prior to her re-debut in late 2017 and said that she was also grateful to have been given the opportunity to give a retirement speech on WWE RAW, stating that it showed respect on WWE’s part that they viewed her as worthy of that kind of treatment that was reserved for people like Edge, Daniel Bryan, Shawn Michaels or Triple H.

Paige said that fans can expect to see more of her down the road, thanking everyone for reading and said that for the past 11 years she was able to live out her dreams.
