In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, who will be inducted for the second time alongside the nWo, revealed that the WWE originally planned to surprise Eric Bischoff with a WWE Hall of Fame induction during last year’s show.

“I’m really glad they’re putting Eric in, speaking of that, we were going to surprise him last year, he was actually going to go in with us. I’m glad they didn’t try to do that, because a person should know ahead of time, not just to show up and go hey, by the way, come on up here and get your ring.”

The 2020 and 2021 WWE Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will air on Tuesday, April 6th on Peacock for subscribers in the United States and on the WWE Network internationally. The 2020 WWE Hall of Fame will feature the inductions of John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield, The British Bulldog, Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, The Bella Twins and the nWo, while the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame will so far feature the inductions of Molly Holly, Eric Bischoff, The Great Khali and Kane, with Rob van Dam reportedly to be announced in the coming days.

Former WWE superstar-turned-actor Dave Bautista, who was originally announced as a 2020 WWE Hall of Fame inductee announced recently on his Twitter account that he requested that the company remove him, citing previous obligations as to why he can not attend this year, noting that WWE honored his request and will induct him at a future ceremony.
