In an update on Seth Rollins’ injury, the WWE RAW superstar underwent an evaluation on his knee yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama and the early word is that he will be out for between 6-8 weeks, meaning that him competing at WrestleMania 33 could still be possible, but is not definite as of writing. The internal feeling is that Seth will push himself to appear at the company’s biggest event of the year but that with legal issues, WWE will be far more cautious about throwing one of their top talents into the ring before they are ready.
The company held meetings backstage at the WWE SmackDown Live tapings on Tuesday and another one yesterday to discuss plans for the event in the event that Rollins is not medically cleared to compete at WrestleMania 33. WWE are said to be considering several ideas, including a cross-brand match at WrestleMania, as well as the possibility of a WWE NXT superstar being called up. As noted above, this really all hinges on the severity of Seth Rollins’ latest injury.
