Alan Wojcik sent along the following:

“Perfect gift for Father’s Day or any day in your wrestling fan’s life.”

Since he lost to The Undertaker at wrestling’s grandest stage of WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels has been in and out of the WWE. What does he do with his time when he’s not doing DX appearances or autograph shows? How did he manage to keep his addictions and his spirituality in check when he returned to WWE full time? Find out everything in the next chapter of his life in Wrestling For My Life: The Legend, The Reality & The Faith of a WWE superstar, co-written by David Thomas (Zonderyan, 163pp).

If you read Shawn’s first autobiography Heartbreak & Triumph, you know the background on former WWE Hall of Fame superstar Shawn Michaels. This book serves as a great follow-up for fans who didn’t know Michaels has been doing a TV series called McMillan River Adventures or that Michaels continues to be an ambassador of his religious faith. If you are looking for a wrestling-only book, do not buy this. It takes you into Shawn’s darkest times of life. When he became a father for the first time, Michaels was retired from the WWE, but still addicted to the medications that helped him survive a career stopping back injury. He goes in-depth how his wife Rebecca and friends in faith got him on his feet once more.

My only dislike of this book is the length, 163 pages. I kept looking at the page count get smaller and wanted more pages to magically appear. I recommend re-reading Shawn’s first book before reading this one. I hope Shawn continues to remain drug free and happy with his ranch life
