Shigehiro Irie was crowned the winner of the wXw 16 Carat Gold 2023 Tournament on Sunday, defeating Axel Tischer in the final of the tournament to be crowned the new wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion.

The title had been vacant since February of this year, with the 16 Carat Gold Tournament to crown the new Champion.
