New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar Shingo Takagi will be moving up to the promotion’s Heavyweight Division, Takagi revealed at the conclusion of the G1 CLIMAX Tournament.

Takagi, who previously worked with the Dragon Gate promotion, went 4-5 in his first G1 CLIMAX, picking up victories over Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano and Taichi.
