A temporary injunction hearing that was held on August 27th has revealed that WWE superstar Sonya Deville’s (Daria Berenato) temporary protection injunction regarding her kidnapping suspect, Phillip A. Thomas II, has been extended until at least November 12th at 10am local time, the time of the next court date.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Thomas attempted to abduct Deville on the night of August 17th at her home in Lutz, Florida, breaking into her home, while carrying a backpack that contained plastic zip ties, duct tape, pepper spray and other items. Deville, managed to escape her home with fellow WWE superstar Mandy Rose (Amanda Saccomanno), calling 911 in the process and when authorities arrived at the home of Deville, Thomas was still inside and confirmed that he planned to kidnap Deville.

Thomas’ attorney argued for $2 million bail, which was denied at the hearing out of concern for the safety of Deville, as well as the safety of other members of her family. Deville filed a motion at the hearing to have evidence sealed, which included messages identifying her family members, as well as photos which contain her home address. Thomas currently remains incarcerated at the Hillsborough County Jail charged with aggravated stalking (third degree felony), armed burglary of a dwelling (felony punishable by life), armed kidnapping for ransom or reward or hostage (felony punishable by life) as well as criminal mischief for less than $200 (second degree misdemeanor).

Deville last appeared on WWE television as part of the 2020 WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, where she lost a “Loser Leaves WWE” match against the aforementioned Mandy Rose, the culmination the on-screen feud between both women.
