WWE crowned a new Champion during last night’s SmackDown tapings, with the episode to air on February 18th on FOX, just one night before the 2022 WWE Elimination Chamber event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

During the taping, Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to be crowned the new WWE Intercontinental Champion, which will begin his third reign as the Champion.
