The following are the highlights from last nights Impact tapings in Orlando, to air this Thursday:

– Taz did not fully explain his association with Aces & Eights to the live audience, and it appears Taz will discuss it on commentary. Taz was not part of the commentary team until the end of the show. It remains to be seen how Taz’s role plays out on television.

– Jeff Hardy retained the TNA World Title over Christopher Daniels in the main event.

– After Hardy retained, Taz spoke in front of the live crowd, telling Hardy that there’s a target on his back. An A&E member then jumped Hardy from behind to injure him. Hardy is featured in promotional material for the U.K. Tour that begins next week, but this could be an injury angle to write him off temporarily.

– Hulk Hogan did not appear on this episode, but Sting requested Hogan lift Bully Ray’s suspension when Hogan returns to Impact next week from the U.K. This was after Ray called out Taz mid-way through the show, but Taz did not respond.

– Tara retained the Knockouts Title over Velvet Sky following the usual distraction from Jessie.

– The January 31 show from the U.K. is Open Fight Night. The top match established is Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson in a steel cage.

– Also for Jan. 31 is Joseph Park calling out someone on Open Fight Night.
