All Elite Wrestling star Swerve Strickland took part in the post-AEW Worlds End media scrum on Saturday night and discussed several topics, including his AEW Worlds End match against Keith Lee being changed due to Lee’s injury, his future plans and more.

In regards to Keith Lee, Swerve said that he is not waiting on anybody. Tony Khan noted that Keith Lee’s injury resulted in changes, and that it was obvious the fans wanted to see Swerve wrestle and that while Keith lee wanted to wrestle, he was examined by a doctor, noting that Keith got hurt at ROH Final Battle and then wrestled Brian Cage on AEW Collision and that when he saw the doctor prior to AEW Worlds End, the injury had got worse and the doctor was not comfortable to clear him for in-ring action, noting that his injury is what has kept Lee off AEW television at times.

Swerve said that in 2024 is when things get direct and no subliminal s*** and said that sometimes, things are not delivered in a fulfilling way, but he fulfills everything. Swerve said that his New Year’s Resolution is to be the first African-American AEW World Champion and said that if he had to pick what he would want for Wembley Stadium in 2024, then he would want his win back from Bryan Danielson.
