WOMEN OF HONOR TAG MATCH SIGNED FOR MANHATTAN MAYHEM
Tenille Dashwood turned the wrestling world on its head when she made her shocking debut at Honor Reigns Supreme! With women from around the globe jockeying for position to be a part of the field of 16 to determine the first Women of Honor Champion, Tenille’s inclusion shook the already-announced 15 competitors!
Tenille makes her Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom debut in a match showcasing four of the stars competing in the Women of Honor Championship Tournament! And all four women could face one another at some point in the tournament! Will they be able to function as partners?
TENILLE DASHWOOD & DEONNA PURRAZZO vs. SUMIE SAKAI & JENNY ROSE
In Concord, Tenille certainly shocked the world, but it was Deonna Purrazzo who advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women of Honor Championship Tournament that night. Purrazzo defeated Holidead and was reported to have been watching Tenille’s impromptu Women of Honor debut that night at Honor Reigns Supreme! Tenille and Deonna team up in New York City, with rumors circulating that these two stars, who could meet in the finals of the tournament, having been amicable with one another despite Deonna helping kickstart the division in 2015 and Tenille arriving just as the division is gaining international attention!
On the other side of the ring, the veteran Sumie Sakai, who competed in the very first women’s match in ROH history in June 2002 against Simply Luscious, teams with long-time alley and mentee Jenny Rose! Sumie will take on Hana Kimura in Las Vegas prior to 16th Anniversary and Jenny Rose took on Stardom star Kagetsu in Japan in a match that will air on ROH Television but the two could meet in the quarterfinals of the tournament should they both win!
Will the potential of these stars facing one another be enough to drive a wedge between them or will the added spotlight at one of ROH’s biggest events in The Big Apple be enough to keep these teams on the same page with the stakes of women’s wrestling in ROH never being higher?
