Former New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar Fergal “Prince” Devitt is expected to link up with WWE’s developmental territory this August according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The report notes that people who have worked with Devitt in Japan have expected him to sign with the WWE since as early as last Fall.

Speaking through his official Facebook account, Prince Devitt thanked New Japan Pro Wrestling for his 8 years in the promotion, leading to more speculation that the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion is potentially heading to the WWE soon. Post by Prince Devitt [Official].

Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Prince Devitt at today’s New Japan Pro Wrestling “Invasion Attack” internet pay-per-view at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, meaning that as a result of his loss, Devitt must leave New Japan Pro Wrestling. New Japan Pro Wrestling star Prince Devitt has still not decided on signing a deal with the WWE according to a report from The Wrestling Observer. The report notes that Devitt has been offered a deal by the company and the feeling is that a decision should be made before the end of the month.
