AAA held a press conference today about Triplemania XXII on August 17th and all hell broke loose as Dr. Wagner Jr. made his return to the promotion accompanied by his son Dr. Wagner III as a billed surprise and will compete in the 4 Way Dance for the Copa Triplemania XXII against Cibernetico, Myzteziz, & Perro Aguayo Jr. with Doc saying that he doesn’t care about the Copa but defending his legacy. Myzteziz & Perrito were fully engorged by Doc’s antics and challenged him but Cibernetico was on another level throwing tables in anger saying that bringing Doc back is completely disrespectful to the wrestlers and the promotion. Ciber then told Joaquin Roldan that he is making the promotion a joke by brining back someone like Wagner. Doc left the press conference before the media could ask questions.

Speaking of Dr. Wagner Jr., he suffered a severe cut on his left shoulder during his match against L.A. Park at Arena Coliseo de Monterrey on Sunday after taking a bump on a light tube which stuck right in his arm. Doc finished the match bloody and didn’t think it was too severe but he went to the hospital to get stitched up afterwards and found out that the vein was punctured and he bled heavily. The doctors told him to sit out for 3 weeks but he will be working in two weeks at Triplemania XXII.

Another note from the show is that AAA will be employing an English announce team for their PPV with Hugo Savinovich & Vampiro on commentary. Also there was no mention of Arturo Rivera being on the show as an announcer as Leonardo Riano & Jesus Zuniga will handle the Spanish announcing.
