All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan took part in the post-AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum and discussed several topics, including the success of the event, Adam Cole, AEW All In: London, AEW All Out and more.

Khan said that to date, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door broke AEW’s biggest gate record, while the pay-per-view buys were bigger than last year’s Forbidden Door event, as well as the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

Khan said that in regards to Adam Cole, Cole arrived sick with a fever, so the decision was made to send him home and pull the match from the card, however when Tom Lawlor is available, they will likely try and do the match again and said that Lawlor is a great personality and wrestler.

Khan said that he can’t share any further details due to international business, but that everyone will be able to watch the AEW All In: London and AEW All Out events at the end of August and start of September.

Khan said that in regards to Bryan Danielson using “Final Countdown”, it was only a one-night deal and said that the deal was as expensive as a wrestler’s contract and teased that they may be able to get one more use. Khan said that the rights are in perpetuity, so they can be used as part of the company’s video library.
