All Elite Wrestling star Trent Beretta made an appearance via video during NJPW’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2023 event on Saturday night, issuing a challenge to Shingo Takagi.

Following the match between Takagi and Tama Tonga, which saw Takagi crowned the new NEVER Openweight Champion, Takagi asked for fresh opponents, however no one appeared at first, until the lights in the arena went dark and Beretta appeared on-screen to issue the challenge.
