The trial of Luc C. Vu, who was arrested following the death of New York-based independent wrestler Matt Travis (Matt Palacios) before the New York Criminal Court has been pushed back to Monday, October 19th, according to a report from PWInsider.com.

The trial was originally scheduled to begin on Monday, July 20th, however the New York court system has been closed due to COVID-19, which led to the delay.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Vu has been charged with reckless driving, failure to yield to a bicyclist, failure to obey a traffic device, driving left of pavement marking and failure to exercise due care in December 2019, which led to the death of Travis.

Travis was struck while travelling on a bike path in East Harlem at around 2:30am on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 when a dump truck driver made an illegal left u-turn to get on to the Wills Avenue Bridge. Travis was rushed to the hospital, suffered serious trauma, but was pronounced dead when he arrived.

Travis was only 25 years old.
