In an interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development, Triple H, discussed the reports of the Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 36 being changed.

HHH said that everyone, including the talent and the staff, are basically doing this on a voluntary basis and said that he did not want to get into the specifics on WrestleMania, because it is a must see event and said that they do not like to take precautions with talents any more than necessary.

HHH said that if there was any reason that the talent did not want to take part, whether it was concerns over their own health or the health of someone else, they don’t have to be and that nothing is held against them for that. HHH said that with Roman Reigns having a pre-existing condition, it is understandable and that they have had very few talents who have had issues or chosen not to take part.

HHH said that for him personally, it has been an amazing process to go to these events and that everyone is under intense pressure and it is not the easiest thing in the world for the talent to work in front of no one, but he thinks that the talents have a sense of purpose and that everyone is having fun and laughing and that they are trying to provide a service and put a smile on your face and if you enjoy it, then that’s great.
