In an interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development, Triple H, discussed the company’s decision to go ahead with the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view, despite the current global Coronavirus pandemic.

Triple H said that in this time, WWE, their talent, their staff and their crew believe that entertainment, more than ever, is a necessity and said that they see it like it is their obligation. Triple H said that WWE says it every day that their jobs are to put smiles on people’s face and that those people need those smiles right now more than anything.

Triple H said that the fans have always been there for them and now, it is their turn to be good to their fans as they choose to carry on and try to deliver those smiles. HHH said that they have done everything that they can do in terms of safety precautions and medical testing and that they have followed the CDC’s instructions as they have done matches over different shows.

HHH revealed that they have scheduled talents, so that there are not too many of them there at the same time and that having the tapings on closed sets without fans is not ideal, but it is what they need to do in order to present content and bring smiles to each fan’s face.
