WWE sent out the following:

In an exclusive phone interview with WWE.com, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long revealed that R-Truth would join Captain Santino Marella and four other yet-to-be-confirmed Superstars on Team Teddy in the squad’s anticipated 12-Man Tag Team Match against Team Johnny – led by Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis – at WrestleMania XXVIII. The high-stakes confrontation will decide whether Laurinaitis or Long will oversee both brands once the dust has settled at The Show of Shows on April 1.

Since  the WWE Board of Directors announced on Monday that the fates of Raw and SmackDown would be decided at WrestleMania, Superstars from both brands have passionately campaigned for positions on either team. For example, the day following the announcement, Zack Ryder posted a special bonus installment of “Z! True Long Island Story” dedicated entirely to vying for a position on Team Teddy. Others, such as Heath Slater and Jack Swagger, have taken to Twitter to voice their support for Laurinaitis in an attempt to curry favor with “Mr. Excitement.” However, among the most vocal Superstars on the micro-blogging site this week has been R-Truth, who sent out a series of tweets on Wednesday urging Long to put him on his team.

“#Teddy, I know you see me asking to be down wit’cha!” the unpredictable Superstar tweeted. “Holla Holla playa! I need this!”

Indeed, after he and his tag team partner Kofi Kingston felt the wrath of Team Johnny Captain David Otunga and Mark Henry, Truth has been aching for a little retribution. Seeing the value in adding a wild card like Truth to his ranks, Long was more than happy to oblige.
