New Japan Pro Wrestling crowned two new Champions during Day 14 of their New Years Golden Series 2022 tour at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center Hokkai Kitayell in Kitami, Hokkaido, Japan today.

In a Fatal Four Way Match for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, the team of Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato defeated Suzuki-gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado), BULLET CLUB (Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo) and Flying Tiger (Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask) to become the new Champions and bring an end to Flying Tiger’s 116-day reign.

Additionally, in a match for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship, SANADA defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to become the new Champion and bring an end to Hiroshi Tanahashi’s 45-day reign.
