In an update on Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper appearing at WrestleMania 30, a report from PWInsider.com notes that both ARE expected to appear at the event in some form or another and at one point, Piper pitched the idea of himself and CM Punk as a heel team vs. John Cena and Hulk Hogan at the event, playing off the main event at the WrestleMania 1 pay-per-view.

The report notes that one pitch within the company was to reach out to Mr. T and reunite the competitors of WrestleMania 1 and induct the entire match into the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame, which would be a first for the company and make Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff 2-time WWE Hall of Famers.

One of the big hold-ups in regards to Piper was the relationship between both sides, as Piper filmed WWE Legends House, however unlike the rest of the cast, he never signed a contract for the show with the company, which WWE had been pushing him to do. Piper regused to sign the contract, as the contract read that he wouldn’t be allowed to appear on any reality shows involving MMA and wrestling before WWE Legends House aired and with his son being an MMA fighter, he wanted to be there to lend his name and assist his son.

The report notes that this was one of the reasons that Piper possibly wasn’t included in the WWE 2K14 videogame, however both sides finally came to terms within the past month, allowing him to appear on Old School RAW and the WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view in a few months.

In regards to Hogan, the report notes that there were plans to have him in Las Vegas for the WWE Network launch, however Hogan remained in Tampa and filmed footage for ESPN.
