In an update on Takashi Sugiura missing the Pro Wrestling NOAH events on June 22nd and June 24th, the promotion announced that Sugiura missed the events due to lens subluxation.

For those wonderings, lens subluxation is described as “a common ophthalmic disease, which refers to the change of lens position caused by a zonal abnormality. The causes of microzona abnormality and lens subluxation are varied, including ocular trauma, hereditary diseases (such as Marfan syndrome), and spontaneous subluxation. Global injury is the most common cause, accounting for 53%, while spontaneous subluxation is the rarest.”

Pro Wrestling NOAH did not release a timetable for Sugiura’s return, simply noting that he will be out of action for a while.
