Lucha Libre Elite held a press conference at Arena Mexico on Thursday where the original Mistico announced that he would now be known as Mistic 2.0 and that he had no contract with AAA, so he was able to leave when he felt like going.

Mistic said that he asked them for a contract for months, but they never gave him one and said that he got permission from Lucha Libre Elite to work his final AAA dates, but said that he was shocked and disrespected that AAA pulled him. Mistic said that he has the rights to the Myzteziz themed mask, hence why he was wearing it, but he said that his new look would be a hybrid of all of his old looks in previous gimmicks, but there would be no more horns on the masks.

Mistic 2.0 said that he would definitely fight the new Mistico if the chance arrived, even for the name if the fans wanted it. Mistic 2.0 said that his brother Argenis and Argos are still working for AAA and that he has not recruited anyone from AAA to join him in Lucha Libre Elite.

The biggest news though that came from the press conference though was the fact that Lucha Libre Elite announced that Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) has let them take over the Sunday shows at Arena Mexico starting on November 8th, which is extremely interesting. Lucha Libre Elite also mentioned that the ill-fated Liga Elite tournament was dropped, although they may bring it back in the future.
