In an update on TNA Wrestling’s TV negotiations, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, networks are leery on the TNA product, not just because it is a professional wrestling product, but for the fact that it has the negative stigma of being a product that was dropped by Spike TV, despite the ratings not being “that bad”.

The report notes that networks are wondering what the catch is in regards to the TNA-Spike TV deal and why Spike TV would drop a program that was drawing between 1 million to 1.4 million viewers per week and that word from the television industry is that Spike TV are dropping TNA because they don’t have the confidence in TNA’s leadership to grow the company, while in addition to that, the number had been declining, not to mention the Vince Russo debacle in recent weeks.
