In an update on the new Diamond Mine stable consisting of Roderick Strong, Tyler Rust and Hideki Suzuki, with Malcolm Bivens serving as the manager, the idea of the stable is to bring a heavier focus to the NXT Cruiserweight Division throughout the Summer, according to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.
The report notes that the group had been planned for months, even before Roderick Strong’s storyline with The Undisputed Era came to an end, but that delays did occur in order to ensure that the debut could take center stage on an episode of NXT television and that at no point was the stable to feature former IMPACT World Champion or WWE Performance Center recruit Parker Boudreaux, with those names mentioned purely down to fan speculation.
The report added that other names were floated for the group, however it is unknown as to whether there will be additional names announced down the line.
