In an update on WWE announcing yesterday that they had released Enzo Amore from his contract with the company amid allegations that he raped a woman named Philomena Sheahan in October 2017, the decision for WWE firing him was not of the internal belief that he was guilty of the accusations, but rather for Enzo’s failure to inform the company about the investigation into the matter.

For those unfamiliar, WWE’s standard protocol in situations like this, is to suspend a talent indefinitely when they have been arrested and if the charges are then dropped, have them return to the company, however if a talent is convicted, they are terminated from their deal.

WWE learned of the news on Monday morning after the story broke online and while the company were in the middle of putting together plans for the RAW 25th Anniversary, an official approached Enzo, who denied the allegations, but noted that he knew about the investigation, which resulted in his immediate suspension from the company and him being asked to leave the Barclays Center. WWE management were said to be seriously angry that Amore had put them into that position regarding the accusations and it was deemed as the last straw for him within the company, given the recent controversies.

Meanwhile, a YouTube user under the name of “ImSamCook”, who was former friends with Philomena Sheahan, who also goes under the name of “MissGucciWitch”, released a video where he allegedly has text messages from Sheahan, agreeing to go to the hotel and stating that she was in bed with Enzo to a friend, while running down the timeline of events where he claims that Enzo Amore is innocent.
