WWE’s Senior Vice President of Special Events John Saboor recently met with Cowboys Stadium officials and the mayor of Dallas, Texas and the mayor of Arlington, Texas to discuss the potential of WWE holding their annual WrestleMania event at Cowboys Stadium in 2015.

Cowboys Stadium seats around 80,000+ fans for NFL games, however stadium measurements allow the arena to expand to over 100,000+ fans with the floor in use, which would break WWE’s all-time attendance record of 93,173 set at the Pontiac Silverdome for the WWE WrestleMania 3 pay-per-view back in 1987.

The WWE are expected to announce the locations of the WrestleMania 31 and WrestleMania 32 events around the time of WrestleMania 30 season. While Dallas looks likely to be a top candidate, other cities in the running include Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles and a return to New Orleans, the host city of WrestleMania 30.
