In an update to the Vince Russo story that came out earlier today, both Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com and Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter note that David Lagana is only at the TNA Against All Odds pay-per-view tonight to help out and is not taking over as the head of TNA Creative as we noted on earlier here on the website.

Johnson noted that Lagana was hired by TNA Wrestling last year to specifically work on Ring Ka King and any other potential new series that the company were debuting and while Vince Russo isn’t backstage at the PPV, it is unknown as to whether he is actually gone from the company as nothing has been announced to the TNA Wrestling roster or staff in the company. The team of Vince Russo and Matt Conway had written Impact in recent weeks, with the scripts being fed to Bruce Prichard and then to Eric Bischoff to insert his own feedback on the shows in production meetings.

As things stand, Lagana is not taking over as the head of creative and Russo is not backstage at tonight’s Against All Odds pay-per-view.

Note from Wayne: As always with stories like these, many people jump too quick to the conclusion. The report above should help to shed some light on the current TNA Creative situation. The earlier report has also been taken down from the website.
