As we mentioned previously on the website, WWE have signed Rami Sebei, best known for his work as El Generico to a deal with the company. WWE has had interest in him for the past few months, which prompted Generico to stall on signing a contract with Ring of Honor Wrestling around the time of the ROH Final Battle iPPV, where he challenged Kevin Steen for the ROH World Championship. One of the main factors in Generico’s signing, is that he speaks a number of different languages, which will be an asset for him in international markets.

Generico is scheduled to appear at this weekend’s Pro Wrestling Guerilla event, however there now appears to be some confusion, as sources tell us he has been removed once again, while PWG themselves have indicated on Twitter that Generico will infact be at the event, so it will be interesting to see if he appears or not.

Generico’s signing is only the first of many names that the WWE are looking to have locked to deals before WrestleMania 29, something Triple H is pushing.

There are expected to be a lot more signings to come, with many in the company expecting Dragon Gate USA talent Samuray del Sol to join the company shortly. The company are also looking heavily at talent in the UK, Mexico, Germany, Japan and other locations worldwide more than they have in recent years. One source told me earlier today that the company’s UK tryouts in April this year could be stacked with talent flying in so that WWE officials can take a closer look.

If anything else becomes available on new WWE signings, we will be sure to keep you updated.
