WWE’s next video game to be released, which will be the first under the Take Two umbrella will be titled, WWE 2K14, according to a report from ESPN who note that the new working agreement between both companies is for five years.

As part of the deal, Take Two will be hiring key THQ designers to work on the game and continue their roles with the franchise. Yukes, who are longtime developers of the WWE games out of Japan, will also be part of the process, helping the game to be released by Fall 2013.

Speaking to ESPN, WWE executive Casey Collins commented on the working relationship between the NBA and the NBA 2K franchise and how they’re looking at having a similar relationship. “We looked at a lot of different leaders in the industry and talked to all of the big guys, and for us, we had been with THQ for so many years, it was nice to finally go out and date a few other companies and see what kind of thought process they had about the video game industry going forward. As we look at the next-gen systems coming out, whether that’s this holiday or next holiday, we want to make sure we align our property with who we thought would be a leader going forward on these next-gen systems.”
